History

WellStart is a non-profit organization founded by Brittany Prince in 2014 and renamed to WellStart Initiatives in 2015. WellStart Initiatives came into existence when the founder saw her local hospital ranked in the Top 25 worst hospitals in the United States in 2012. She researched health stats in her city and county and compared it to the state and national averages. She quickly noticed health disparities and challenged herself to be a change agent thus creating WellStart Initiatives.
